This tool is a Morris scissor bench plane, or plow plane, patent number 112,949 states that it was "designed to enable the bit to he run at any desired distance from the edge of aboard or panel."

-The spikes on this item are around 5" long
-The part holding the spikes can freely rotate on the threaded shaft
-There are two mounting holes on the frame
-The spikes can all pivot outwards
-Turning the handle raises and lowers the spikes
